About AviTaxes
After 13 years of serving clients, we built AviTax Pro — our own income tax preparation software — because our clients deserve more than a once-a-year service. Many small business owners and working families struggle with finances and administrative tasks year-round — not just in April. Our goal is to give every client, regardless of background or language, the tools and personalized support they need to stay financially confident all year long.
AviTaxes was founded in Seattle in 2012 by Diego R. — a bilingual entrepreneur, former dentist, and longtime community advocate with over two decades of experience across healthcare, business, and financial services.
Diego's career began in dentistry in Colombia, where he earned his Bachelor's degree before moving to Seattle, where he went on to earn an Associate's degree in Business Administration. His career spans working in dental and medical clinics, patient care coordination, family services, medical translation, project management, and healthcare administration at institutions like Seattle Children's Hospital, University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center, and King County Public Health. He has also worked in restaurants and construction — which is exactly why AviTaxes proudly serves those industries. We know them from the inside.
Since opening our doors, we have proudly served clients across 13 tax seasons — helping individuals and small business owners navigate taxes and financial planning with confidence. While we are not a CPA firm, we bring accounting knowledge and hands-on financial expertise to every client we serve.
We are proud to serve Seattle and clients nationwide in both English and Spanish.
